Original Veglia Borletti tachometer for Fiat Dino Coupé. Labeled "Electronic". New part, never installed, very rare to find in this condition.
I have checked the tachometer for correct function; it displays correct values with minimal deviation across the entire RPM range, meaning it reads slightly low. The attached pictures show the measurement results using a modern electronic frequency generator.
Explanation: the tachometer works with 3 pulses per crankshaft revolution, which is why "27000 Imp" is printed on the back of the DTM, defining the number of pulses for the maximum speed of 9,000 revolutions per minute. The frequency generator operates in kilohertz per second. For example, at 0.1 KHz per second, the tachometer displays approx. 2,000 revolutions/minute.
